Safety operation rules for cutter suction dredger?

The safety operation rules for cutter suction dredgers are very important. The formulation of the rules is based on the understanding of the actual situation, and the handling of every detail is very critical. Zhongda Consulting will explain to you the safety operating procedures for cutter suction dredgers.

1. General rules 1. Staff entering the dredger operation site must wear life jackets and personal labor protection articles as required. Two or more people are required to go together for pipeline operations. 2. The fire-fighting, life-saving equipment, anti-collision and other safety facilities of the construction vessel must be complete and applicable, and a special person shall be designated to be responsible for the management and protection, and they shall not be used for normal use. Safety protection measures for construction waters should be formulated, issued and implemented in consultation with relevant local departments. 3. For construction vessels, the working, walking platforms, and surrounding guard bars of the upper platform should be complete, and the walking springboard should be set up firmly, and there should be anti-skid strips. 4. When dredgers and auxiliary vessels are towing, anchoring and constructing in waterways, docks and harbors, they should set up and display signals according to regulations and assign personnel to be on duty. Night construction must be equipped with adequate lighting. 5. The crew should be familiar with the construction organization design of the project. Understand the local hydrology, meteorology, geological landforms, and construction waters. Check the mud dump, water source and water return facilities. The project department should organize the formulation of construction plans, construction quality, environment, occupational health and safety and other control measures and make technical disclosures. 6. When the construction ships are transferred, special personnel should formulate plans for transfer routes, towing methods, staff job division and ship formation, and implement them after approval by the superior. 7. The operation of construction vessels, such as anchoring, stop production and sheltering from wind, shall be carried out in accordance with the technical standards in the current "Technical Specifications for Dredging Engineering". 8. The crew must be trained and learned, and be familiar with the ship's safety operating procedures and the operating instructions of each machine. 2. Deck operation part 1. Check whether the connection of water and land mud discharge pipes is reliable, reasonable and firm, and whether the use of mud discharge yard  cutter suction dredgers  is reasonable and reliable. 2. Check the fastening conditions of all parts of the ship, and the flexibility and reliability of all machinery and components. Before construction, check and implement comprehensive lubrication of the mechanical running parts. 3. Check whether all the joysticks on the console are in the "neutral" position, and whether the buttons are in the stop working position. 4. Check whether the speed switch of the hydraulic winch is at the "lowest speed" position. 5. Check the construction water area, check the construction water depth and ship draft, and check that the excavation section is normal, and then send out a construction signal. 3. Turbine operation part 1. Check whether the connection of the accessories of the diesel engine is reliable, whether the bolts are fastened, and whether the moving parts can rotate flexibly. There should be no particularly heavy feeling for each diesel engine cranking for 1-2 turns. 2. Check whether the cooling system has been filled with water, and whether there is any water leakage at the water pipe joints. 3. Check the oil level of each diesel engine, the oil level of the mud pump drive gearbox, the oil level of the diesel tank and the hydraulic oil tank, and record and record the amount. 4. Check whether the battery is fully charged and whether the connectors of the starting system are loose. 5. Check the alarm system. When the alarm system works, the control light should be on. Check that the start and close pump switches should be in neutral. 6. Check and open the submarine valve and the front and rear valves of the seawater filter. Check that the outboard cooler is free from blockage and foreign matter. 4. Start the diesel engine 1. First, press the battery charging button "off" of the auxiliary engine (if any). 2. Disconnect the circuit of the electronically controlled hydraulic valve (the switch is on the console). 3. After the diesel engine is started, run it at the lowest no-load speed for 5 minutes to warm up the engine (see the diesel engine factory manual). 4. Check the operation of each part of the diesel engine, check the oil pressure, the vacuum pressure of the sea water pump, and the readings of each pressure gauge. Confirmation: engine oil pressure, engine oil temperature, cooling water temperature (including internal and external circulation temperature), exhaust temperature, hydraulic pump system oil pressure and other instrument values should be within the normal range. 5. When the cooling water temperature of the diesel engine rises to 45-50 degrees, the speed can be gradually increased to the rated speed (refer to the marine diesel engine manual). 6. Check the voltage and cycle meter of the three-phase voltmeter, the indication reading should be in the normal position, and the three-phase current should be kept in balance. 7. The normal working temperature of the hydraulic system is about 50 degrees (the maximum value does not exceed 70 degrees), and the oil temperature should be preheated if it is lower than 15 degrees. 5. Start the mud pump (combined pump) operation 1. When the main engine is running at a low speed (both 600 R.P.M), press the button on the console to perform the combined pump operation. At this time, the main engine speed changes slightly, and then slowly increase the main engine speed , when the speed of the main engine increases to 800-1000 R.P.M, the pump closing indicator (yellow light) is on, indicating that the pump closing is completed, and then the pump closing button should be released. 2. When the pump is combined, it should be judged whether the mud pump is working normally: (1) The speed of the main engine should be slowly increased when the pump is combined. (2) The value of the vacuum gauge is slightly > 0, indicating that the pumping is normal; the output pressure of the mud pump gradually increases; the pressure of the water seal pump increases accordingly. (3) After the pumping is completed, the mud pump pumps water abnormally. At this time, the speed of the main engine should be reduced until the pump is off, and then the water should be refilled and the air in the suction pipe should be removed again, and then the pumping operation should be performed again. (4) When the speed of the main engine exceeds 800 R.P.M or above, the combined pump operation shall not be implemented. (5) When the mud pump pumps water normally, the values of the vacuum gauge and pressure gauge are relatively stable. 6. Shutdown 1. Manipulate the speed control handle of the main engine to gradually reduce the speed to below 800 R.P.M, the clutch will disengage by itself, and the indication of closing the pump will go out at this time. 2. Lift the reamer bridge out of the water, turn off the reamer rotation, attach the safety rope of the bridge, and loosen the lifting wire rope of the bridge properly. 3. Insert the safety pin into the positioning pile on the lifting side, and then loosen the positioning pile to lift the wire rope. 4. Transversely move and insert the safety pin into the bridge winch. 5. Return the console handle to the neutral position, reset the speed control knobs, and turn off each switch. 6. The engine department stops the operation of the main engine. 7. Turn off the console power switch. 7. Towing and anchoring 1. Before towing or transferring the construction site, the traversing anchor should be retracted and fixed, and the anchor rod should be retracted and fixed. 2. Insert the reamer bridge frame and the fixed pin of the traversing winch. 3. Take back the dredging signal and beacon, check and set the towing signal. 4. Take off the  cutter suction dredgers mud pipe and form formation. 5. Lift the steel pile to a safe height and insert the fixing pin. Or perform an inverted pile. 6. Prepare towing and mooring cables. Arrange staff on duty
